Երրորդ դասարանի աշակերտները թատրոնի ձեւով կ՛արտասանեն ու կը պատմեն Ռափայէլ Պատկանեանի «ՄԵԾ» բանաստեղծութիւնը։ մեր դերասանները իրենց աննման խաղարկութեամբ, արտասանութեամբ եւ հնչեղ ձայնով կրցան փոխանցել հայրենասէր ըլլալու այս շատ կարեւոր պատգամը.

Առաջին դասարանի աշակերտները այսօր’ պատրաստեցին իրենց ջահերը, ներկեցին ծիծեռնակաբերդի յուշարձանն ու անմոռուկը, ըսելու համար որ իրենք տէրն են հայ դատին, հաւատարիմ են իրենց հայրենիքին ու գիտեն իրենց յարգանքի տուրքը մատուցել հայոց ցեղասպանութեան զոհ գացած անմեղ նահատակներուն։

Spring Chess Tournament
Cabayan Elementary School students participated in the Spring Chess Tournament organized by Fide Master Coach Arshak Ramazyan at St. Peter Armenian Church in Lake Balboa.
During the tournament, 4th grade student David Harutyunyan came in 3rd place & 2nd grade Leon Melikyan received an Active Participation Certificate.

«Տէրունական աղօթք»-ի Կատարում Առաջին Դասարանի Աշակերտներուն Կողմէ
Կիրակի, 17 Դեկտեմբեր 2023-ին, Մարի Գապայան նախակրթարանի առաջին դասարանի աշակերտները այցելեցին Սրբոց Նահատակաց եկեղեցի:
Աշակերտները լրջորէն վառեցին մոմեր, աղօթեցին եւ իրենց հիասքանչ մասնակցութիւնը բերին սուրբ եւ անմահ պատարագին կատարելով Տէրունական աղօթքը, հոծ բազմութեան ներկայութեամբ:
Եկեղեցւոյ հոգեւոր հովիվ Տ. Ռազմիկ Աւ. Քահանայ Խաչատուրեան մեծ գնահատանքով ողջունեց վարժարանի աշակերտները, անոնց ծնողները, ուսուցիչները եւ տնօրէնութիւնը, քաջալերելով անոնց օրինակելի այցելութիւնը եւ ազնիւ աշխատանքը:
Յետ կատարումին, աշակերտները հիւրասիրուեցան եւ շատ խանդավառ վերադառձան իրենց տուները:

A professional development seminar was held on Wednesday, December 13, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, in the school computer lab. The seminar addressed the following issues:

A professional development seminar was held on Wednesday, December 13, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, in the school computer lab. The seminar addressed the following issues:
- The trends of the development of the Eastern and Western Armenian dialects,
- The creation of the new spelling version (Abeghian) in Armenia during Soviet era,
- The differences in both alphabets and spelling,
The second part of the seminar will be held in February 2024.

Rosa Linn Armenian Singer-Songwriter Performed at Cabayan Elementary School
Students Fundraising for Displaced Families of Artsakh
Cabayan Elementary students expressed the willingness to fundraise for the benefit of the forcefully dislocated Artsakh Armenians. In cooperation with our teachers, the students in each grade level organized a school-wide snack sale. The snacks, which were donated by our very generous parents, were purchased by the students and collectively they raised $8,200. The collected funds were transferred to the Western Prelacy to be allocated for the needy Artsakh Armenians. Other fundraising events will follow this student-initiated campaign.
Kindergarten: Donut sale, amount raised: $1,100
1st grade: Ice cream sale, amount raised, $1,565
2nd grade: Cookie and milk sale, amount raised $1,510
3rd grade: Boereg sale, amount raised $1,213
4th grade: Kata sale, amount raised $1,529
5th grade: Ice cream sale, amount raised $1,220
Total amount raised during the six different snack sales: $8,137
The administration strongly appreciates our students’ sense of responsibility for initiating this campaign and we express our thanks to our parents who sponsored this fundraising campaign.
