Staggered Drop-Off & Pick-Up Schedule
In order to regulate the parking lot traffic during Covid-19 period, the school has adopted a staggered schedule, which divided the student body into three major groups (K&1, 2&3, 4&5) instead of the current two groups (K-2, 3-5).
We cordially ask our parents to follow the new staggered drop-off and pick-up schedule in precision. Below is the drop-off/pick-up schedule and the related guidelines.
Grades: K & 1 Drop-off: 8:15-8:30 Pick-up: 3:30-3:45
Grades: 2 & 3 Drop-off: 8:00-8:15 Pick-up: 3:15-3:30
Grades: 4 & 5 Drop-off: 7:40-8:00 Pick-up: 3:00-3:15

This new schedule and group arrangement allows the school administration to better manage the student recesses and lunch breaks, as well as the use of cafeteria, restrooms, courtyard, playground and the faculty room. It will also minimize the student exposure to other students across grade levels.
General Policy
Parking on the school's premises is a privilege and not a right. All parents, teachers, staff, and students must adhere to the following regulations:
1) All drivers must respect the directives of the school security officers or any other school employee temporarily replacing a security guard.
2) The school is not responsible for any kind of damage caused to a vehicle while on school grounds, including collision, theft, burglary and other damage.
3) Violators of the parking lot regulations will be notified.
4) Reckless drivers will be notified by the parking attendant and will receive a written warning from the Administration.
Parking Lot Operation Hours
1) Parthenia Parking Lot
-The parking lot is accessible from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
-The two iron gates in front of the Administration building with direct access to the school are closed from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
2) Hayvenhurst Parking Lot
-The parking lot is accessible in the morning from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
-The parking lot is accessible in the afternoon from 2:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Specific Regulations
1) Speed Limit: The speed limit in the parking lots is 5 mph. Reckless or careless driving may lead to serious consequences and threaten the safety of the children and other pedestrians.
2) Drop-off: The Hayvenhurst parking lot has four parking rows, one drop-off lane and one through-traffic lane. The parking spaces in the lane immediately next to the soccer field must be used for drop-off purposes only. If you need to accompany your child to a classroom or to the Main Office, please park on both sides of the through-traffic lane.
3) Entrances: Parents grades K-5 are encouraged to use the Hayvenhurst entrance. This will allow the Preschool parents with very young children to use the Parthenia parking, which is closer to the Preschool classrooms.
4) Congestion: Parents are urged to leave the campus immediately following drop off or pick up of their children to allow room for the flow of traffic.
5) Parking Spaces: Parents are required to park their cars in the parking spaces designated and or assigned by the security officers.
6) Signs:
-Parking lot signs must be respected at all times.
-Please do not park on designated Disabled Parking spaces without proper display of a Disabled Parking Placard.
-Please do not park in designated reserved staff parking spaces.
7) Blocking:
-Please do not block neighbors' driveways. Your car might be towed.
-Please do not double-park.
-Please do not park in front of the trash bins area.
8) Street Parking:
-Please do not park on the streets immediately adjacent to the school entrances -- this will obstruct the view of other cars.
-Please do not park at the red zone marked areas and in front of the fire hydrants.
9) Child attendance:
-Please do not leave your children in the car alone. This is a major safety issue that may result in child abuse charges.
-Please do not ask the security guards to watch over your children in the parking lot. They have many other responsibilities to fulfill and are instructed not to accommodate such requests.
10) Congregating:
-Please do not socialize with other parents in the parking lots. This hinders other parents from utilizing the parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up purposes.
11) Theft:
-Please lock your cars, especially while left unattended.
-Please do not leave purses or valuables in the car.
-Please do not leave car on and running, while it is left unattended
12) Noise:
-Honking, music, or other disruptive noise is not allowed in the parking lots or on the school grounds.
13) Littering:
-Please help the school keep the parking lots clean.
-Please do not leave fast food bags and trash in the parking lot.

- At the entrance, please take the lane to go to your child’s grade level station,
- Arrive at the station and make a full stop and turn the engine off,
- Make sure you and other passengers are wearing mouth/nose masks,
- Please remain seated in the car, a school employee will lead the student to the classroom,
- School employees will help students in grades K, 1 & 2 to handle their backpacks and lunch/snack boxes; students in grades 3, 4, & 5 must handle the backpacks and lunch/snack boxes on their own,
- Parents are not allowed to accompany the students to and from the classrooms,
- For any out of the ordinary drop–off and pick–up schedule, please call the office,
- It is very important that during pick-up time student name and grade level be displayed on the car dashboard.
Special attention should be given to:
- Left turn is not allowed at the exit gates,
- Not to arrive to the parking lot before the scheduled drop-off or pick-up times,
- Siblings can be dropped-off together within the time frame of the student who is scheduled to be dropped first,
- Siblings can be picked-up together within the time frame of the student who is scheduled to be dismissed last,
- Parents who have children riding the school bus from the North Hills Campus to the Encino campus, they may decide to have their Elementary level children be supervised in the school courtyard (or cafeteria) starting at 7:30 am. This supervision service is complimentary,
- Car speed limit in the parking lot should not exceed 5 miles per hour.
